Since April 2022 and in the wake of the final Grenfell Report, many from across the built environment are adjusting, and changing their past approach to comply with the new legal duties and framework under the Building Safety Act 2022. A wholescale shift is needed to ensure the safety and standard of all buildings, particularly higher-risk buildings, during construction and occupation. Improvements to competency of all those responsible for overseeing, managing, and delivering the work, as well a renewed focus that now puts residents at the heart of a new system, is also needed.
During this discussion, we plan to take an informed look of ‘where we are now’ and ‘where are we headed’ with Building Safety Act, joined by industry leaders to speak about what they are seeing in practice, to share their know-how and best practice, consider some of the latest developments, as well as look at some of the legal, operational, and commercial challenges and how they can be overcome. The session is likely to provide useful insights for Contractors, House Builders, Developers, Landlords, Freeholders, Social Housing Providers and Housing Associations especially.
