Acclaimed comedian, writer and broadcaster Geoff Norcott will host the National Federation of Builders’ Construction Awards of Excellence in Birmingham on Thursday 12 November 2026.
The National Federation of Builders has announced Geoff Norcott as the host of the Construction Awards of Excellence 2026.
Geoff will lead proceedings at the prestigious black-tie ceremony at The Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, where businesses, projects, teams and individuals from across the UK construction industry will be recognised for their outstanding achievements.
A highly regarded stand-up comedian and comedy writer, Geoff has built a reputation as one of the UK’s sharpest and most distinctive comic voices.
His television appearances include Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Question Time and BBC Two’s The Mash Report. He has also appeared on Daily Politics and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, as well as writing for The Telegraph and New Statesman.

Delivered by the National Federation of Builders in partnership with Build News, the Construction Awards of Excellence recognise exceptional performance across the construction industry.
The awards are open to construction and building companies throughout the UK and are judged entirely independently by an expert panel of industry specialists.
The 2026 programme includes categories recognising building contractors, housebuilders, public and private sector projects, sustainable construction, restoration and renovation, heritage craft, training, health and safety, digital technology and rising industry talent.
The winners will be announced during the ceremony on Thursday 12 November 2026. The evening will include a drinks reception, three-course gala dinner, live entertainment and the awards presentation.
