The National Federation of Builders would like to congratulate Dave Meldrum, CEO of NFB member company Meldrum Group on his recent appointment as a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Dave was awarded his Fellowship at the turn of the year, recognising a lifetime of work and commitment.
ICE Fellowship (FICE) is the highest level of membership, honouring the significant impact a person has made in both industry and society. The title serves to highlight a person’s leadership achievements.
Dave rarely speaks of personal success, choosing instead to acknowledge the contributions of those around him. Commenting, Dave said:
“I am delighted to have fulfilled a personal ambition that I have held for many years. When I started the business back in 2001, it was with a real desire to do and be something different. I am very proud of the people-first business we have created, and to have received recognition for my commitment and passion to civil engineering is hugely rewarding. I’m an advocate for Continued Professional Development, and it just goes to show, you should always keep striving for your goals as perseverance has made so many of my goals a reality.”
Thank you to all who have supported Meldrum Group and me, and continue to do so; it’s the reason why we have a flourishing business, capable of going from strength to strength.”
Commenting, Deputy Chief Executive of the NFB, James M. Butcher said:
“Dave Meldrum is a formidable business leader and his commitment to construction and civil engineering over the decades has been rightly recognised by our colleagues at ICE. Dave, his family and his team should all be incredibly proud of his achievement, just as we are proud to have someone of his standing as an NFB member. I have no doubt that he will continue to be a great inspiration to the next generation of construction professionals. Well done Dave.”
