James Butcher, Deputy Chief Executive of the National Federation of Builders, and Sean Houlston, Associate Director of Membership, visited the Royal Norfolk Show to meet longstanding NFB member Smith of Honingham and help showcase the construction industry.
Hosted by Jonathan Smith of Smith of Honingham, the visit highlighted the company’s work at the Norfolk Showground, including the recently completed Norfolk Food Hall. The new farm shop and restaurant forms part of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association’s plans to create a year-round destination celebrating food, farming and the county show.
Smith of Honingham has been an NFB member for decades, with its membership dating back to before the NFB digitised its records more than 50 years ago.
At this year’s show, Smith of Honingham joined LSI Architects, Canham Consulting and others to promote construction through practical demonstrations, including bricklaying and tower building, giving visitors a hands-on introduction to the sector.
